“At the time Wilbur & Orville Wright invented the airplane in 1903 they lived with their sister Katharine and father, the Bishop Milton Wright, in his modest home on 7 Hawthorn Street in West Dayton.  By the end of 1909 they were world famous and very wealthy.  With the success of their airplane, Wilbur and Orville decided to build a new home to reflect their new wealth and status in society.  This new residence was called Hawthorn Hill.  those in attendance for this talk will take a virtual tour that will include the history of this home and some of the special events that took place as one of Ohio’s most beautiful and gracious buildings.”
